Welcome to Troop 14, Neenah/Menasha

Hello, and welcome to the official Neenah/Menasha Troop 14 website. Our troop is “Scout Led”. Which means, most everything is planned by the scouts (adults present for supervision).

All of our PLCs (Patrol Leaders' Council "Meetings") are scout led and recorded by a scout. All ideas, questions, campout suggestions, events and possible activities available for meetings are brought up and passed through the adults to see if it would be a good idea and/or is appropriate for the occasion.

At each meeting there are five different sections to a meeting.

  • The Flag Ceremony is a time when scouts post the colors.
  • Skills Instruction is when the troop (excluding some that are working at other activities) get together with an adult or scout 'activity leader' to work on a specific task. Examples include; flags, first aid, bear bags, patrol box packing, ect.
  • The Patrol Meetings are a time when a patrol (or multiple) get together to plan or socialize.
  • Troop Activity time is when the troop gathers to play a game related to team building or related to scouting.
  • We always close troop meetings with announcements and retiring the colors

Troop 14 meets Monday nights at Congregational United Church of Christ in Neenah, wearing full uniform for the boys and adult leaders. An official BSA Class A shirt and BSA long pants or BSA shorts are required. Also for Monday nights, we ask that parents attend the last 15 minutes of our meetings (8:15-8:30) to hear announcements.
